B2B research on companies and professional contacts
As part of market, target-account and B2B-connections projects, VolzMarketing researches publicly available professional information about companies and business contacts. This may include name, role, employer, publicly available business contact paths and project-related context. Sources can include company websites, professional networks, press releases, association and trade-fair directories, and project information. Private contact details are not deliberately collected. The information is used on a project basis for research, assessment and agreed B2B outreach.
Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, this processing is based on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest consists of researching, assessing and initiating business-to-business contacts and carrying out the market and target-account analysis agreed with the client. Only information that is necessary and proportionate for the relevant business purpose is processed.
Researched information is retained only for as long as it is needed for the relevant project, agreed follow-up or necessary documentation. Information that is no longer required for those purposes is deleted or updated unless statutory retention obligations apply. Where required for the agreed project, researched business information may be provided to the commissioning client as part of the project deliverables.
Where the GDPR applies, data subjects may in particular request access, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing and may object to processing based on legitimate interests. They also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority. Requests can be sent to info@volzmarketing.com. Additional rights may apply under other applicable data-protection laws.
